Venya Not my normal fare, but oddly compelling as always. Hard to pick just one, but I've Been Better is moody and evocative. Also love Baritone at the end. This album is a labor of love and it shows. As with Spiders!, I'm left wishing for more, but settling for repeat play. Favorite track: I've Been Better.

Troubled 04:15
i'm feelin' troubled i'm feelin' mighty down my heart is heavy i feel my spirit drown i hear it comin' those steel wheels rise and thunder that train is haunted it reeks of coal and sulfur on acrid wings it rise above and so we smother and so we smother with that great weight it cannot stop and so we suffer and so we suffer i'm feelin' troubled i'm feelin' mighty down my heart is heavy i feel my spirit drown thick steam and scalding it can't stop it pushes onward like a dozen hammers it pounds down crushing splintered it pushes down and suffocates and so we smother and so we smother an endless pace it tears apart and so we suffer and so we suffer i'm feelin' troubled i'm feelin' mighty down my heart is heavy i feel my spirit drown

about

In 'Walk the Earth,' Mykie undertakes a bold departure from his earlier work on 'Spiders in my Eyes', delving into a sound that is undeniably more ambitious and complex. It's exploration of a darker facet of Americana, focusing on regret and isolation.

Embracing a diverse country-oriented instrumentation, Mykie weaves together a mesmerizing sonic tapestry that pays homage to the authenticity of Johnny Cash while maintaining the haunting thumbprint of his own country sound.

He infuses the album with a brooding intensity and a visceral sense of introspection, drawing inspiration from gothic acts like Sisters of Mercy and Type O Negative.

'Walk the Earth' is the result of unwavering dedication to Mykie's musical process, a culmination of seven months of unwavering passion.

Instruments performed:

- Accordion
- Banjo
- Guitars (baritone, acoustic, bass, resonator)
